Zantac

Zantac
(Ranitidine present as hydrochloride salt)

Availability:


  • 150 mg Ranitidine pills
  • 300 mg Ranitidine pills
  • 2 ml injection
  • 5 ml injection

Uses:

  • Stomach and intestinal ulcers,
  • Throat and stomach esophagus issues,
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome (increased production of hormone gastrin)

This drug may be administered in pregnancy only when it's use is essential.

Take this drug after meal - suitably one hour after meal.

Side Effects:

  • Headache
  • Vomiting
  • General feeling of being out of sorts
  • Muscle Pain

The general dosage is around 150 mg of 10 ml of syrup. However, physician's consultation is necessary.
