Amaryl assists type-2 diabetes patients. Glimepiride (an active constituent of Amaryl) helps in maintaining sugar-level to optimum levels.

The intake of Amaryl is dependent upon the desired sugar-level. It should be administered in proportionate with the minimum requirement to achieve a set sugar-level.

Skipping a dose should not be substituted by a relatively bulky dose lateron. And, in all cases the quantity of dose should be set with the prior approval of a physician. However the common initial daily intake of Amaryl is 1 mg.

Patients allergic to glimepiride or other sulfonylureas should not use Amaryl.
