Coronary Heart Disease (CHD)

Coronary Heart Disease or Coronary Artery Disease is the narrowing of coronary vessels (thus causing hindrance in the passage of oxygenated blood and nutrients) most commonly due to Atherosclerosis.
Coronary Heart Disease CHD may be present within an individual for more than 10 years before it becomes apparent.
In medical terms Ischemia is the term used for the restriction in blood supply, so Coronary Artery Disease is sometimes called Ischemia Artery Disease.
