Traxef can be used in patients having impaired defense mechanisms.

Elderly Patients	1 - 2 g
Bacterial Meningitis ( in children + adults)	Initially After identifying bacteria 100 mg        Reduce
Gonorrhea (STI)	250 mg
Pre-Operative Prophylaxis	1 - 2 g ; 30 - 90 mins before the operation

Traxef is not suitable for patients

• Allergic to any constituent of the drug, or
• Having severe kidney problems
