Acne (Acne vulgaris; Cystic Acne; Pimples; Zits)
Acne is a skin disease characterized by growths on the skin due to mal-functioning of the skin glands. Due to acne whiteheads, blackheads and red-growths are visible on the human skin.
Acne is caused due to blockages in the skin glands. These glands are called 'follicles'. Since these hair follicles are not present in the palms, soles and lips. So acnes are not formed in these regions.
